May Favourites!

These are my recent purchases and you could say these are May favourites!

The hair

We'll start with a bit of a moan about hair. I went and ruined it with the loreal thickening shampoo and conditioner. I really liked it at first as it did make it look fuller, but then after a few uses my hair literally broke off. I have the worst split ends and the top where the roots are, I have a load of little hedgehog hairs. I was pretty livid as I have been really looking after my little hairs lately, getting it trimmed every 3 weeks and it was lolling pretty healthy until this disaster.

So here are my current saviours. I love this Garnier hair oil, and I've tried quite a few. It's really light, but makes my hair really soft and shiny. I'm not mad about the smell as its a bit sweet but its not something I mind, and I use this in 3 ways, I sometimes slather it on a couple of hours before I shower, I use it on wet hair before I blow dry and I use a tiny amount to smooth through ends at end of styling. Love!

The dove 60 second treatment is good but I wouldn't buy it unless it was on offer, I actually prefer the regular conditioner as it seems to more nourishing which is mad as this is meant to be intense. But I like it none the less, for the moment.

The bag.

I love this bag from primark! It's pretty, it's spacious, it's brown and it was £8! What!

The shoes.

Another cheeky Primark purchase. What's not to love, these were £8 and fit so nicely, I regret not getting two pairs, bridgesandballoons777but when I went back they only had the big sizes left! If in doubt always get two!

Summer Scents.

Now, I must admit I bought this on a whim and even without smelling it. Such a sucker for a pretty bottle and such a pretty bottle it is! It smells similar to the original daisy but somehow more fresh and slightly sweeter and to me this scent is the opitomy of summer. I keep moving it around the house so I can see the pretty at all times! What is your favourite summer scent at the moment? And has anyone smelt the new Victor and Rolf scent? I'm exited for it yet dubious! I

I will be making more of an effort with this blog, as I've recently had a bit more time on my hands but sadly no Internet connection so I will have to be doing this through my phone! I've only tried thus once and the dimension were all off when looking on the pc. So just stick with me ok!?

Smashbox

I've recently got married. wedding number two, but that's a long story. I'll put up a photo of the dress sometime this week. Although incredibly stressful ( it was all planned in 4 months and mainly organised in 4 days ) It gave me a great excuse to buy new and wonderful things! Like very expensive makeup! I originally was going to bite the bullet and get the naked 3 palette, but then i wanted to try the smashbox primer, so it somehow made sense to me to buy the full exposure pallete to get free delivery....and it looked really pretty. and it is. i read some reviews first, I'm not a mad woman and some were a bit iffy about the fallout and the shimmer is more glitter than shimmer and when i first tried it i thought, damn, should have got the naked 3. BUT! i stuck with it, and I'm glad i did as i haven't used anything else for months, i love it! once you get past the first glittery layer it somehow compacts down and there is then hardly any fallout. the colours are lovely, and i actually love them all! The brush not so much, in fact it may have been the problem in the first place...

You got to choose 2 samples, so i went with a full exposure mascara and a primer.
Ive yet to try the primer sample as i tried the photo finish hydrating oil free foundation primer which id bought in a 12ml travel size as its loads and i didn't want to end up being allergic to it, which i very much was. its also a £1 per ml. which makes me feel gross. never again!
The little mascara is nice though, its actually made me think I'd buy the big version, its rather lengthening rather than thickening, which is a nice change.

I also bought also bought some brushes. tell me.what did i do without them? what did i use? how did i manage without them?

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

i use this to apply foundation and its amazing. flawless and soft. magic really.

There isn't a brush i don't  like in this, even the dodgy looking eyeliner brush is great for eye shadow, and the eyebrow brush makes me giddy with appreciation. giddy.

In my next post i will be talking about a brand called Mii, as that's what i went for brand wise for my wedding makeup.

Is there any other things you want to see?

Mr and Mrs!

So this happened!

I'm weirdly married!

This was just the legal bit, there will be a Russian Orthodox wedding in Jan so keep your eyes peeled for an amazing dress I had custom made!

Here I'm wearing Jenny Packham for Debenhams
bag from The Vintage Styler
Shoes Marks and Spencers

It was an amazing day and great practise for the actual big day.

These are exciting times.

I just ordered some Janet Reger lingerie which i'm very excuted about indeed!

One question for people out there, did any of you do your own make up for your big day and did you regret it? I'm in two minds about it!
